Welcome to Rebekah’s blog. I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked with the LGBT community since 2002. I provide support with coming out, transitioning, and questioning sexual orientation and gender identity, in addition to other issues. Nationally, I am a member of the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) as well as the American Psychological Association (APA). Locally, I have volunteered with The Center in several capacities throughout the years, and I am listed in the LGBT Denver Metro Area Resource Guide for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender elders published by The Center and SAGE. This includes Project Visibility Training for elders. LGBT health is a priority for me, and I have conducted corporate and medical SafeZone trainings to advocate for improved LGBT healthcare; and 5280 Magazine featured me in the April 2014 issue regarding caregiving.
May 15th, 2014 is the 2nd annual national Give OUT Day! Give OUT Day is a national initiative that will engage hundreds of organizations and mobilize thousands of people on a single day across the country to give in support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community. This is when the LGBTQ community and allies across the country will come together for 24 hours of generosity.
June is Pride month. In support of Pride month, initial therapy consultations will be provided pro-bono, when contacted by June 30, 2014.
